Tres Beau is a series of drawings made in tribute to pre-op transsexuals. They go through so much after they make their decision to go through with the surgery. In a typical situation, their friends leave them, their family disowns them, strangers may become violent towards them, and the over-religious would proclaim eternal damnation. Even after the surgery, the torture may not stop. Do we really want to take pride in being so intolerant towards those who are just seeking happiness like ourselves?
